Durin-g recent months tickets for several art unions have been circulated lin our district, mostly in the. interests of sports organisations. "We learn with ' great pleasure that the art union effort lon behalf v of the Wellington Free Ambulance .which should command Ifti4 whole-hearted support and encouragement of every resident from one end to the otheT of the Huitt Valley, is meeting with that measure of support to which it is justly entitled. This splendid organisation, which is at the beck anil call of rich and poor, entirely free of cost, is doing incalcua/ble good among the sick and suffering of Wellington and the adjacent three "borough to say nothing of the very numerous cases of motor and other accidents iiow unfortunately so frequent. The organisation 'is in urgent need of a new and adequately equipped building for its use as headquarters. The 2/6 tickets are now on. sale at Blake's Book Shop and at several of the .tolbaeeonists in • town.
