CHARITY BALL.
A very .enthusiastic meeting of Lad•ies was held in the Waimarie Olnb Room on Thursday 7th. August 1930, thirty being --present including • Lady Roberts. The Ladies present agreed to take all responsibility in regarfl to the .Supper. .It -was decided that everything in connettion with the Ball be given voluntarily. \. Many generous contributions were, offered in the room. The. next meeting j to be held on Wednesday 20th August at 2 p in, at Waimaiie Club Pavillion. A ■■■meeting of the Men's committeehas been arranged for Traesday 12th August in the. Council Chamber at 8 o'clock. The object, of the; Ball is to provide funds for the purpose of pnrchasing Food,- Clothes and Firing 'for those in urgent need ir? the district, and an ap.peal is made for contributions to' make, it worth ■while.'
