Word has recently been received that Mr. and Mrs. H. Ernest :Lerghton, who loft by the ' < KarigitiM,'' by the Panama route, for England, have reached their destination. The "Eangitiki" is said to Be "a floating palace," and was .well loaded, which was conducive to a smooth., trip. Admiral Byrd was a fellow passenger and^ of course his inseparaible companion "Igloo, "and Mr. Leighton found the Admiral a most interesting companion. Mr. and Mrs. Leighton were at Bournemouth (Mrs. LeigJiton's home town), renewing old friendships and visiting the familiar sights, and afterwards intended. going to Ipswich.
