Tie enormous amount of traffic upon Britain's main roads nowadays is causing.road constructors to do muea-wear-ing of their thinking-caps. The now flteel road is claimed to be absolutely I safe,, since vekiedes do »ot skid vpon it ■•even on the greasiest' days, and it is maintained that it will last more than twice as long as any other kind of road befoTe repairs become necessary.
