HUTT AND PETONE ST. JOHN AMBULANCE DANCE.
• A most happy and successful dance was held in tie King George Dance Hall on Wednesday night, June 25th-, when aibout fifty couples spent a niost enjoyaiblc ovening. The Pennsylvanian Orchestra was in attendance and Mr. H. Dv Faur carried out the duties of M.C.. admirably. The energetic committee, to i^hose offorts the success of the 'evening was so largely due, consisted of the following Jadies: Mesdames McPherson, Wynyard, Mills and Smith and Messrs J. Eadie, E. Menzies, A. JUcPfcerson, R. Honwell, N. Meldrum arid B. Smifch; Thanks are also due to Messrs W. J. Wynyard and C. Smith, joint secretaries, who worked most energetically. Messrs C. O'Shea and J. McGuire were present representing the Hutt Railway Workshops' Social Committee. Amongst the ladies present were Mesdames McGiiire, floral silk; Wynyard, pale green panne velvet; Walker, green lace; McPherson, b?aek georgette; S. O'Shca, figured silk; and the Misses Robinson, flame taffeta; Ashby, green georgette; Collins, black georgette; N. Ward, heliotrope lace; XL MeGrath, green georgette; KL^McGrath, heliotrope mariette skirt, figured silk bodice; Boswell, seai--let lace; Meyrick, figured silk; McGurk, black velvet; G. McGurk, helio- { trope gorgette skirt, silver lace bodice; Huskisson, lemon georgette; Lockyei*, blue lace; V. Fleet, lemon georgette; O. Ftfeet, white georgette; Pearee, green geoTgette; Smith, flamo silk; Fisher, blue georgette; Simeon, red georgette; Vrede, green erepe-de-chene; Cross, pink satin; Turner, figured silk, net overdress; Matthews, green mariette and gold lace; Harris, gold lace, embroidered in blue and pink; Foothead, pink crepe-de-chene, silver lace.
