ALLAN MACAgKILL.
Milch regret is felt ih'fche district at the death, of Mr. Allan Maeaskil^ who died at his 'residence -in'-Eotam' Crescent, oh Monday evening at ti» age of 70 years. Mr. Ma'caskiM was born, in tlie island of 9kye, and spent has boyhood at North THstj in _the Northern Hebrides. He came to New Zealand 45 years ago, and was in business in Cuba Street, Wellington. He came to ILower Hutt about' 25 years ago to take over the management of Prydea' timber yard. He was afterwards manager of the '.West-land..Timber Co., whieli position he . occupied, at the time of his death. Mr. Maeaskill was an ae--tiyo supporter of ■'. the Liberal |»arty, haying been foi jaaaiyr yeais cdiairma» -ipijSir':. Thomas wiford's comjhitte.e.
