HUTT VALLEY DRAMATIC AND OPERATIC SOCIETY.
The Hutt 'Valley Drama tic and Operatic Society made a new name for themselves on Monday night when the. comedy "What Happened to Jones" was presented at the Majestic Theatre, Upper Hutt. There) was a wonderfully appreciative audience, and the comedy moved along with the ease of dong practise and a perfection "of detail that would do credit to many professional touring companies. ' It is announced that the society is now working on rehearsals for a new comedy by that prince of humorists, P. G. 'Wodehouse. The name of this comedy is "Good Morning, Bill" and whether or riot the upward inflection should* be used is a matter for debate at present. However, we understand tihat one attendance at this show will do as much for the low-spirited folks as a whole year of bright '.' Good ''; The caste chosen for tiiis play is of extraordinary merit,1 and should prove to be 'the most outstanding performance ever presented^n the "Hutt Valley. This entertainment is to be given in aid of the Hutt Valley High. School Baldwin Memorial Fund> and will teke place in the King George" Theatre. .. T&e- date ■will be anjiounced later.
