WEDDINGS. PATON—PHILLIPS.

A pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Peter's Church, Wellington, on Saturday afternoon, when Mary, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Paton, of the Hufct, was married to Arthur Eeginaid, son .of Mr. B. P. Phillips. The bride, w>lio entered the church on the arm of her father, looked charming in a frock of white satin trimmed with silver lace round the bottom hem. The cape was also edged with silver dace. The veil was worn with a coronet of orange; blossoms and she carried a •shower bouquet of pink and white carnations and maiden-haiT fern, with satin streamers. The bride was attended by two maids —Miss D. Wilson, w&o wore a long-sleeved frock of blue crepe-de-.ehene \with. uneven hemline, the skirt coming up to a point in front. The other maid was Miss P. Baker, whose frock was of pink mariette with uneven hemline. Both maids, wore hats .to tone and carried bouquets in pink,, bdue and autumn tints. The best man (was Mr. F. Chapman, while Mr. B. Beadle carried out the duties of groomsman. The bridegroom's gifts to the bridesmaids were a jardiniere and brassware. The Bey H. Watson was the officiating clergyman and Mr. Shortt was at the organ. After the* ceremony a reception at w&ieh there were about l seventy guests, was held in the Empire Hall. - The tabdes were charmingly decorated by a fridnd, with pink and white chrysanthemums. Mrs Paton re-1 eeived her guesta in a frock of navyblue celanese cxepe-de-chine trimmed with fa.wn, the skirt beings frilled. Her i navy vedour hat was ornamented- with, a feather and. turned up in front. Mrs Phillips^ the bridegroom's mother, was wearing a frock of black lace, with black hat. Tihe bride's mother, Mrs Busso, wore a frock of navy blue-eharinalaine, while Mrs. Wilton, the bridegroom's mother, was in a cocoa-toned mariette and lace, with hat to tone. The bridesmaids bouquets were posies of violets. Mr.^Douglas Wilton carried out the duties of best man.
