When Mr. Shell of Sydney street, Pefcone, who occpies a Council shed on the beach for the use of his ear, was gar- j aging his car on Friday night, he received a great surprise to see two.young penguins crouched close together in the j doorway of the shed. He had to' go and touch them before they would v move and then they ran away very fast into the darkness. It would be in-

teresting to know how they got so far up on the beach.
