The meeting of the two local teams in this grade, on Hutt No 2,prbvided a hard ""and fast game. After a period of even play tie A;s took command and Judd and Mathews scored. Phillips almost succeeded in opening the B's account, the ball striking the post and going behind. Both teams strove to improve thiT position,' but tie spell ended without farther scores, Hutt A 2. Hutt B 0. The A's had much, the better of the second spell. Atkine added three (3) goals, and Judd and Fleet one each, to the A's total, while Fnifliips scored far the B's. Tie B'& put up a great fight. For the first time in the history of ihe dub, a protest has, been lodged aga/inst a referee. While not asking for replay it was considered necessary to draw the attention of the Association to the rulings of tine referee, in the match, between the Senior A team and Karori. We regret having tir take this step,as a referee's job is an unenviable one, but the referee referred to has caused ill feeling in every match the Hutt have played' under >his control for seveTair seasons.
