The annual meeting of the" 'aTbove Association was held in Moefa Hall on Monday, l'2th May, which was attended by. a fair number of the residents of tht* district. The -annual report and balance sheet weTe received and adopted, and showed that the eommitte ■had worked strenuously in order to attain what proved" to '%e ar very successful year. , The financial statement showed tSaat of £281/8/11 receipts fronVyariipTia fiiiictions and locai entertainments, there was a net profit "of £112/14/8, and after providing Bandwick School with a Spencer piano and first aid outfit, besides advancing grants to the school for ground improvements and <&her facilities to the extent of 'over £62, in addition to expenditure incurred on school picnic, Xmas treat to school children, purchase of crockery, ertJcy, there was a credit balance of £1/5/1,

That Bandwick Parents' Association lias justified its existence in the first year of its career can thus be seen at a glance.

Through the initiative work of the Association the construction of the overhead bridge and i\Lg>ht-of-wiiy between Awamutu Street and Randwiek Road is now an accomplished fact, and great credit is due to Mr T. M. Wilford and Mr. W. Nash, M.P, for their influence and efforts in the attainment, of this prog-ressive object of local utility.

In arranging daiiccs and other functions, the committee always endeavoured to maintain a high standard of service which undoubtedly was one of^the chief factors in their swccess. It ]:
