A FAMILY IN NEED.

An appeal is made on behalf of a destitute" family in Lower Hutt, consisting of an ex-soldier who is out of work, Iris wife, and seven' children, all-under fourteen, for clothing and bed coverings. The case is declared by the borough inspector, Mr J Fletcher, to be a most deserving one. The Mayor, (pir Alex Roberts) has arranged for food to be supplied, and it is -root desired that money should be sent: Gifts of clothing and bedding may be left at the borough offices, or at the Hurt News Office, or addresses can bo given where they can be called for.
