THE FUNERAL.
The funeral which took place at the Taita Cemetery last Saturday afternoon was attended by a very large circle of friends and admirers. The Hutt Valley Horticultural Society was representedl by the President, Mr D. S. Patrick, Mr H. Poole and most of the members of the executive, Dr J. 8,.. Boyd, Mr Louis Whiteombe (late employer) and many anembers of the staif were also present. The pall bearers were Messrs A. Grierson, S. T. WakeJin, E. Miller (Wanganui), G. Gaoidin, J. I. Alexander and J. Grieg. The service at t«hc house and at the graveside was conducted by Rev. Harold, Siharp.
The many wreaths in which Ms beloved flower, the chrysanthemum, predominated, were particularly beautiful.
The deceased is survived by Ms widow and four sons and three daughters.
