..The finals of the Men% Championship DouWes and Combined Champion* ships of t-he Hutt Bowling and Tennis Club were played off. on. Saturday, lOth May. The •weaklier"'was perfect and ideal for tennis. There .;was a fair number of appreciative who witnessed some good tennis.

In the Men's Doubles the pairs—Lees sent., and Lees jrir. v. Ward and Bawnsley's—were very evenly niatehedy all being in good form, few. mistakes were made, and the rallies were excellent.

In the first set the games went to 3^ all, then 5—3 in favour of Lees and Less and deuce then, losing the match' point, Ward and Baivrrisiey led 7—6. They also lost the game at^. match point, and the games were evened at 8 all, after some great tussles, Lees and Lees winning the set 10—^8. . In the second set t&e same form con- ]
