LEAGUE OF MOTHERS.
The members of the League of Mothers aTe varying their ordinary programme next Thursday, and are. calling it a "Lavender and Old Lace" afternoon. They are very mindful of the debt of gratitude they owe to the pioneer mothers of this district, and are entertaining in a suitable "way those to w&om they owe so much for inspiration. They are looking forward to a candid criticism of modern day training from those who have trained and .who watch with interest this hew erj. T»he committee finds it impossible to communicate withs all elderly people and are anxious that members bring their mothers and that those who would •ike to come feel free to do so. -This branch is noted for its thorough preparation, and nothing is being left that will help to make this one of the most' unique reminiscent afternoons, lit is appropriate too, that the afternoon ehouOd be in "Motbere' Week." A suitable programme has been prepared, and ike membere* one aim is to make.
it v hey day in the memories of those in whose, honour the day is being held. This is the first "day of this kind held by any branch oi" the League in the Dominion and it is being anticipated Avith real pleasure.
