- Tie final of the Men's Championship of the Hutt Bowling and Tennis dob, was played off on Saturday last water ideal conditions, and was won by Mr. A. Robinson, the runner-up being "Mr. T. Ward.

In the first set the games were pne all; after that Bobinson .bad his opponent thinking all the time and made him make many mistakes, the set finishing 6—l.

In the second set Ward again eveiicd the score, one all, t>ut Bobinsbn was placing his shots nicely and iiad his opponent running and ma-king bad xaiatakes. Robinson won the second set o—r3, and the championship for 1929-30.

The result. of this match will shew senior players tie need of a variety of PlayV- not confining themselvse to one player or- so all through the season. The runner-up on this occasion "Who has held top place on the ladder *B de season, has" twice lost the ntfttch against his opponent in club matches, and it would assist players and the club generally to play more elnb games. A great improvement could be made in this elnb in notifying nuanbere of mate-lies which are to take place.
