WEDDING.

An evening wedding took place on Saturday night at St. Stephen's Church, "when Jessie, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mts. E. C. Evans was married to Charles, Oordon, only son of Mr. and Mrs. David MeDonald of Mosgiel, Dunedin. Tihe ceremony was performetl by the Uev. J. E. Lopdell. Tihe bride, who •entered the church on the arm of her father was attired in a frock of white ■crepe de chine, the skirt being flared, uneven rucked hemline. An embroidered veil and satin shoes completed her toilet, and she carried a bouquet of pink and white gladioli. Three maids attended t»he brides-Miss Mary Evans, sister of the bride being the

chief, tihe other two being Miss Vera. Fleet and Miss Zela Evans, who were all similarly attired in frocks of lemon, blue and pink crepe do,chine, silver ;shocs and felt hats to tone, turned back -off the face. Each carried a bouquet of gladioli to tone with her frock. -.. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. S. Me!Nieoll, of Dunedin, as best man, with. Mr P.. Evans and Mr. J. Evans as ;groomsman. After the ccTemony a re•ceptioH was held in the Normandale Hall. Mrs. Evans, mother of the bride, wore a frock of navy blue celanese ;satin and hat to tone, while the bridegroom's mother, Mrs MeDonald AVore a navy celanese nvaroeain frock, and a French model "hat. When the usual toasts had been honoured,' the bride and bridegroom left for Auckland and Uotorua, the bride wearing a navy repp coat and frock with pleated frilled skirt, and navy silk coat, with hat and shoes to tone, and a fox fur—-air present from the bridegroom. The bridegroom's presents to the bridesmaids were rhinestone necklets. After the departure of Mr and Mrs McDonald, a ilanee was held, the Arcadia Orchestra from Johnsonville supplying the music.
