The monthly meeting of t>he W.CT.TJ was held on Wednesday 26th' March, the President presiding. Owing to the acting secretary being away at the Convention, Mrs Crawford took her place. Apologies were received from several jhem-beTs. -

Begret" .was expressed on receiving Mrs. Turner's resignation as treasurer owing to her removal from ti.o district; •aso thanks for her donation to tiba Union funds and. her keen interest o the work. Mrs Aldersley was appoint" ed treasurer in place of Mrs Turner.

The picnic held at Mrs. Presants's grounds, Belmont, was enjoyed by mem*

bexs and Mrs Presants expressed the

It was reported that, the collection on Cradle 801 l Afternoon, amounted to £1/6/-, and for Headquarter ;s Fund the sum collected for-the month, of Maxell was £1/2/-- The .sjim of £1 was passed for payment to the N.Z. Fund.

A special meeting on April Bth will be >held to heaT the report of the delegate from the recent Convention at Timaru.

A paper on "Good Health" was read by Miss Page, and written by Miss Anderson..

It was decided to hold meetings after April at 2-o'clock instead of 2.30.

Letters were received coniyeTning the "Abolition of Conscription," and "Grievances of Samoans." A short discussion followed but no resolution was passed. It was decided to make an annual appeal to members as funds to carry on the work are needed. A vote of thanks was passed to Miss M. Cxaiwford for her work in printing the names of members on a scroll. A vote of thanks also wa9 passed to Miss Anderson for -her helpfid. paper. Afternoon tea was served and J;he Benediction brought the meeting to a dose.
