RE-NAMING OF STREETS.
Several objections to the new Street names having /been brought under the notice of the Borough-Council, it was decided at the last meeting not to finalise the re-naming for one month so as to give residents ample time to lodge .objections. All motions previously passed and dealing with the matter jihave been rescinded.
Main Hutt xo&d to be defined as ftfoni Wakefield street to Railway avemve, and to be renamed Hutt road. .
Main street and Main road north, to bo renamed High. Street, which name will apply from the bridge~jto,the nor-, them borougth. boundary.
Princess'street to be renamed Mudie
street.
Henry- street to be renamed Buckley street.
■ Clifford street to be renamed Valentine street.
Donald street to be renamed Montague street. -;
Old" Wainui road to be renamed Hinemoa street.
Parliament street to be Western Hutt road.

Back Waiwetu road to be known ay Waiwetu road. . .
Riverbank street to be named Marsden street, which will then extend from Railway avenue round to the Western Hutt roa3.
White's line to be divided into east and west, the dividing line being Rani-
wick toad,
Brunswick street west and Melling -street to be renamed Melling road.
Miller street road.
to be renamed Bell
Laings road and Bloomfield crescent to 'be renamed Laings Toad; Bellevue Toad to remain as at present.
Thje dividing point between Woburn road and littdlam crescent to be defined as the circus at" the foot of Penrose
street.
Kings road and Heke street to, be
j Tenamcd Kings crescent. Connelly, Hata.anJ Mills streets to be renamed Connelly street. Waimri avenue to be renamed Wai-iti avenue. - m Park road to be renamed Hutt Park "Xp road. TKiames, Bristol, and Trent street to be Tenamed Tirohanga road. ~~ Begarding Hautana square, *hiß comDiittee now recommend that no alteration be made in the names of Hautana square and Hautana street, but that the whole thoroughfare be renumbered as if bearing one -name, and a jsign: "To Hautana street, >5 be placed iiiide^ the Hautana Square name-plate at tJi6 Bellevue road entrance^ and at tho Knights road entrance to Kautana' street a sign, "To Hautana square,' * be placed under the Hautana street name-plate. •
