WAIWHETU WOLF CUBS.
VISIT OF GENERAL SIR ALTBZP
ROBIN.
The, Waiwhetu Wolf Cub Pack was greatly honoured by a visit to its den, €he Anglican Churcih. Hall recently. Those mothers wto could spare the time at such an inconvenient hour to a housewife, viz., 4 _p.m v were present, also Mrs Hoggard (cub-master of the Holme Boys' Wolf Cobs), and Mesdaines Gardner and Fer* gjisott (committee members of the Wai' ■wfcetu Pack.
Cub-master Mrs-F. Joyce put the iQobs through tiaeir work, consisting of Grand Howl, Law and Promise, camp fire songs, cub dances, and a Maori Stick Game, with the correct Maori chant. The time was far too short for tk» display of all the woTk these Cubs are able to do but before leaving Sir Alfred Eobin congratulated the Cubs <m their progress, and Mrs Joyce oa the work accomplished in so short a tinte, particularly when the fact is ro< anjambered that new boys are constantly joining up, which makes revision work a necessity. Thanks are due to Mrs Hoggard for -her help in teaching the jolly songs, and the Maori. Stick Ctamfc. The Packwweire r taken by CubV ■naster Mrs Joyce up the Wainui Hill «m Saturday last, and on the way one interested friend game them"spuds" to roast in their fire, a farmer gave them milk for their billy tea; and Mr. Corner completed the kindness by allow ing a camp fire to be lighted on his grounds, and giving an apple each all round. Don Gardner was the cook, and on the homeward journey his face was indisputable evidence to the fact, as well as the mouths of all tie Pack including Cub-master, that all &ad had their share.
