PRESENTATION AT HUTT WORKSHOPS
A very pleasing event took places at t>he Railway. Workshops last w.eek"When, the employees of the Foundry Staff njet to say goodrbye to one-of their workmates, Mr Louis Mellor. In a few wellchosen words, Mr B. Wallis, Assistant foreman, expressed the regret of all present in losing such a man as Mr Mellor. Since the opening of the New Work-
shops Mr Mellor has filled the positions of sick visitor for the Railway Sick Benefit Fund, also that of Shops representative on behalf of the employees. On behalf of the employees of the Founday, Mr Wailis handed to .Mr Mellor a handsome travelling rug as a token of. their esteem and wished him '' God '' and a pleasant trip. Mr Mellor in returning thanks said he was pleased to know his services were appreciated as he had discharged them in fairness -to ' both. employees andi also the Railway Department.. Mr Mellor is going to England on a six months .' leave of absence to visit his people there. He will be accompanied by Mrs and Miss Mellor.
