ANNUAL, REPORT
The following report 'was , submitted at the Club's second annual meeting held at the Community' Hall 'on Tuesday., 11th March at 8 p.m.. The management Committee' have pleasure - in presenting their first' annual report for the year \ ended, March.' 4, 1930. Two teams were entered in the competition viz junior 'and seventh 'grade. The Seventh
grade team met with a fair measure of success and finished up the season among the. leaders, although no championship honours were awarded owing to the difficulty with the age limit. The junior'team also played^ particularly ,well, anoi although they were well down on the championship ladder they played their games in a fine sporting spirit;
Coaching: Tlie club was fortunate in having the services of a number of able coaches and thanks are due to the folJ lowing, Messrs Burns, Perkinsoii> Parker and CrossanT \
. Social items": During the season, a number of social functions" were held and -were highly successful1 ,due no doubt to an' energetic ladies' committee.-One dance, concert and) smoke concert filled
tlie social bill.
Hon. Members; Th^s membership was not up to expectations, but with the club, firmly established 'we. hppe .to strengthen this section during the coming season. - ' . ; ; . . Committee Meetings:' The.3e meetings were well attended but members who accept nomination for a seat, on the Management Committee should realise, that they must be prepared to give up a .reasonable amount of time to the-job. ; Appreciation: The Club"desire to ex-tend-to supporters, their appreciation for able assistance.' During, the season Mr Mark \Nichblls delivered' an interesting lecture and to him-special thanks are clue.. Thanks are also extended to the Huibt Club for the use of their gymWithout' their effort training operations couloir not have .been so successfully carried out. , ' . ~
Obituary: It is with deep regret we record "the passing away .of two member» of the- Club, Messrs Meagher and Wallace. Both were keen supporters of . the club and th§ir place will be difficult to fill. To.their relatives and friends we extend our deepest sympathy. ' -■ Finance: The Club's finances -' were heavy but we managed to finish the season with^a small'surplus -of funds to carry on., , We look fdrwar"* to the approaching season with continue&i success and trust members will show the same enthusiasm and co-operation sis they have done in the past.
