HUTT RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB.
The "annual meeting of the above elu'b was held in the Gymnasium last Thursday evening, the President (Sir. Alex. Roberts), presiding.
Before taking the business of tne meeting the president made reference to the deaths of two of the cluVs supporters —Messrs Mayor and A. M. Slater —and moved a motion of symjartjhy to the relatives, all mem'beTS standing.
In moving the adoption of the ■•hair ance sheet and report the president said the outstanding feature of the past season was the success of the club's senior team in being raised to Senior B, !He congratulated the players and hoped that tihey would uphold their success. He said that he had had the pleasure of entertaining the players last year in honour of their success, and if they h&d no more losses than wins during the coming season he .promised torepeat the invitation. He congratulated Bill Peck on his selection for the Wellington senior team." On
the whole .he considered the club to : be in a sound financial position and, said thatrfchey could look forward to an increased memibeTship for the 'coming year. He concluded by wishing all teams every success in the conipeftitiona and considered that the junior teams had every promise' of a 'suece&sful seasoli." The motion was seconded by Mr. M. J. Power and. carried.
Before nominations for the commit- ~ tee were called Ma jot King pointed out thatt he' office of eomniitteeman entailed a good deal of work and asked that members should not allow themselves to be nominated unless tfiey weTe pre* pared to give the time to it.
Mr. M'cNaugtht said that the club owed its sound financial, position to its splendid vice-presidents.

Mt. MeNaught said that a great deal «f wilful damage had been done to it&e gymnasium prolbably amounting to £30, during recent months, and he thoivgiht some arrangement should be made to provide a caretaker. He moved '' That thecomimititee be authorised to spend up to £20 to prorvide a/ccommoda/tion for a caretaker." -The motion was caTried.
After some discussion it was decided that players should start training immediately. Mr, McGuire strtessed the imporfcance of being firt and of starting ■iihe training early if they weie to uphold their laurels in the: higher grade.
Some discussion took place as to the adya^ability of forming a "B" team; Major King pointed out the disadvantages o:f tMs arid moved an jaanenidmenit which was carried, "Thai tihe committee will favourably consider the playing of a "B" team if the players are available." '
A special vote of thanks was accorded'to the Hon. Secretary, Mr. C. W. Dudding, for hi 3 untiring energies.
