On Friday, .at t-he conclusion of the Croquet, Tournament, the , trophies which-wore won ■'■in ' that ,tournament v were presented to the successful competitors, after which tangible , tihanks was tendered to the of the Tournament, Mts \ Earl MeKenzie, for t-he very excellent way in which she had filled thq.t office. Sinail tokens., were also presented to Mrs Hendry, and the Hieraibei-s of the coniinittee for their share in! the,successful and happy carrying through of Hhe tournament, AH these ladies. made Jfeeling acknowledgment of'■■'tihe'!. gifts, and Mrs MeKenzie thanked the presidents •of both clubs for the very ho&pitabie way in which they had entertained the visitors> Anotier pleasant feature on that af• j teTnoon was the tea'given (by the successful competitors for alt players in tihe tourney. The guests of the afternoon fels' it was a very graceful' act on the part of these" ladies.
This week another tourney is taking place at Hastings, and nine; Hutt players: are among the competitors. They are Mesdames E. Yates, Lowexy, Cal--dow;, McKenzie, Booeoek,- A. V. L.ees, Henderson, Moiuat and Mr. Mouat.
