In reading the Hutt News "Splash" was pleased to see an article on the heating of the baths. This was a good piece of work and it is needed very badly in this town. It is surprising that such an asset as the baths should just stand there to pay their way as best they can. It is to be hoped that something can be done duTingthe coming winter. ,
The following, were the results of the Centre Championship meeting -held en the 13th February.. It will be seen that the Hutt Club did well in the Junior and Intermediate Championships. This goes to prove /that we &aye the goods which would be brought up to a higher standard if the baths were heated.
100 Yards Beasley Cup Handicap (Men)>— Cleland 1, Milne 2, Cartwright 3. Time 76 3-ssee. This was an evenly contested race, Cleland winning by a touch. Cartwright, with 9 points, wins the cup. Milne and Carfcwright dead heat for second with 8 points. *
100 Yards Ladies' Beasley Gup^ Handicap—Miss I. Price, 1, Miss P. Price 2, Miss M, House 3v Time 86 4-5, Miss I. Price won by four yards. She wins the cup wifeh 10 points. Miss P. Price is second with 9 points and Miss House third with 7 points.
1001 Yards Breatstioke Handicap.— L. Deans 1, H} Tremewan 2, J. Morrison 3. Time 87sec.
