PLUNKET SOCIETY.
The Taita Plunket Sub-conwnittee teld their first meeting for i&e new year on March 28th. Those pTes'ent included Mesdames Burgess (chair), ti-. Me Arthur^ E. L.. Puge, W- M. Jackson and P! B. Martin (secretary).
The nurse'jS report was read' and showed the following flguTes: Visits of ■babies to rooms> 24; visits of adults to rooms, 24; visits of older children 11.
It was r found neeessa-ry, owing to the inconvenient running' of the buses, to alter the hours of attendance at Taita from the morning to the afternoon. The rooms are now open from 2 to 4 p.m every Wednesday. It is hoped this alteration jrcill benefit the mothers, >
A very hearty vote of t&anfes was accorded Mr. Potter foT his practical help in altering the wording on the Notice Board, free of charge. .
Ways of helping the funds of the Society were discussed . and rb was agreed to help with a. Shop Day which the Central Committee are holding- in Lower Hutt.. A district to canvas for gifts was alloted to each member and a generous response from the residenta •of Taita is hoped for. - ' *.
