COMING-OF-AGE PARTIES
* A very pleasant 'and enjoyable -evening- was spent at the residence of. Mr. and Mrs Tate, '' The Hill Belmont, on Saturday the occasion being the eoming-of-age of their elder daughter, Connie. -;The garage , was utilised as a reception'room, and was very effectively decorated with, ferns, lycopodium, balloons, etc. Some fortyfive guests were present, Miss Tate was the recipient of -many: beautiful gifts. Games, music and- dancing were indulged in, and a "vory happy time was spent by all. The iaiidsome cake was a, gift .from Mt and Mrs. Grantham. Mts O'Kain recently gave.' a party in thonour of the epming. of age of her daughter, Miss Zell . O-Eain, . Miaa O'Kain's uneie, Mr.. Wijlis,6f Wellington1, acting as host. 'The house was very prettily .decorated with pint and blue hydrangeas, and . streaniMrs G'Kane reeeiyed, her guests wearing a smart frock of floral silk crepe, while 'Miss O'Kane wore blue and pink crepe georgette/ Ihiring the evening musical items were given and dancing and.games whiled away a very fcftppy evening.
