! At the annual tennis championships held at Daimevirke last week, Mrs B. P. Adams and Miss M. Lee, of the Hutt Bowling and Tennis Club, tinguished themselves in some brilliant games. Mts Adams was successful inwinning the ladies' championship singles and, partnered with Miss M. Lee, succeeded in reaching the semi-final in the ladies* doubles. Partnered with Dr. FultOn, Mrs Adams also reached the semi-final in. the combined doubles.
On Saturday evening next t>he above ladies will be entertained by their club friends in the Hutt Bowling and Tennis Club*s pavilion^ ■ -'..''
It is hoped that during next week- i end, teams from the Featherston Club | will be visitors to the Hutt, when «.' very enjoyable day may be expected. This" fixture is always looked forward ■ to by the players of botJi clubs an£ it is - hoped . that the hospitality which is always so freely lavished on the Hutt players will, on this occasion, be reeiproeated.
