Conscious of the fact tihat, combined with up-to-date business methods the public does appreciate the storekeeper who can display his wares in an attractive and hygienic manner, so, when designing his premises, Mr Arnold .paid very special attention to the proper storage of all foodstuffs and to ensure that these are

kept in' a iiygienie manner, a. commodious cool-store was elected at the rear of the building. The difficulty that has to be overcome by all purveyors of foodstuffs in checking the ravages of vermin, has been reduced to a minimum at this modern store by building specially designed zinc-lined cupboards that are proof against all dust and dirt, Before being, offered to the public, all case-fruit etc. is cleaned by -a special process w2rich takes out any foreign matter and greatly adds to the appearance of the ' article before it comes into the hands of the consumer. A very liberal cash coupon system is in operation in all departments reduces costs to the customers to the extent of- 9d. in the £. these c.ash coupons are presented,; \sh&' cw-: tomer may purchase, with them any article in -the store except groceries. The outward appearance of the shop leaves nothing-to-be desired, wit2x its large and well-dressed windows which throw ample light on to the roomy floorspace within.
