TENNIS SECTION.
The championships of the above Section have commenced and in the first /round several good • and even, games have been played.. , In tiie Men's Doubles Lees and Lees met and defeated Hayes and Osborne [6—2, 6—4. Robinson and George defeated Stoupe and Reynolds 6—4,". 6 —4. Combined Doubles—Miss. Davidson and J. M. Power were defeated by Miss N. Davidson and I. Willis 6—2, '13—15 and 6—3. This match pToduc-, ed much good tennis and winners and losers were complimented on their good showing. ~'■•-:.• Menjs Singles—J. Rawnsley defeatled R. Adams after a very even game by 6—2, 4—6, 6—2. W.Lees senr., defeated G. Hill 6W3, 6—4. R. McDonald defeated G. Wright 6—l, 6—l. . W. Less junx., defeated St.' George 6—2, 6 —4. ■''."■ ~. Ladies Singles—^Miss Davidson defeated Miss Norfche 6—l, 6—2. Miss Walters defeated Miss N, Davidson 6—3, 6—4. Players are asked to~ arrange their games as soon as,possible and so assist the committee in getting the championships concluded up to time.*
