Word has been, received that Miss Millicent Knight, daughter of Mr and, Mrs Willoughby Knight, late of Lower Hutt, met with considerable success when' s>he sang to a crowded and enthusiastic house at Liverpool )(E.ngland) recently, and made a great and favourable impression.
Mrs W. Hughes, of Palmerston North, is the guest of Mrs A. Y. "Lees
for the croquet tournament.
Mrs Pinlayson and Mts. Clayeon, -Masterton, are the guests of Mrs Andrews, for the croquet tournament.
Mr. D. A. Ewen, of Wellington, accompanied by Mrs Ewen and two children, returned to Wellington on Friday by the Bangitane from en Elevenmonths* business and pj^asure trip to England and the Continent.
Misß Gwen Slack of Petone, and Miss Ivy Howe, of Upper Hutt, are on a visit to the latter's aunt, Mrs P. Edwarcls, of Bketahuna. ' .
