ENGINEER-GENERAL MANAGER'S REPORT.
The following is the Engineer-General Manager's report for the period) ended January J.ltli:—A .100 k.v.a. substation ' has been erected in Wainui Road and low tension mains extended in Coi-
lingwood Street and Thornycroft Road. The size of mains were increased for local feed from Odlin's Sub. along Nevis Street, Loeky Street ,and Te Puni Street to Jackson i Street. Wiring for the Beacli Carnival was carried out and has now been dismantled. Overhauling of services south of Jackson Street completed and a pole at the -corner, of Te Puni Street and Locky .Street has been "replaced by a heavier pole to carry heavier wire. A pole was removed at the corner of Park Road and Sea View Road. Forty-three poles were erected for the month. Total number of consumers to date, 8968. .- .
. During the month 62 electric ranges, 3 cowplants and 37 water heaters were installed. To date 1982 electric • ranges, 60 cowplants and 841, water heaters have been installed?.;. . ...
Several faults and interruptions were reported for the period.
