ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

A meeting of the Hutt Valley Electric Power' Board was held last Thursday afternoon. There were present Messrs A. W. Press (chairman), J. W. MeEwan, A. Walker, L. Stewart, E. Windley, H. W. Lawrence and the Engineer-General Manager (Mr E. F. Hollands). Leave of absence was granted to Messrs W. H. P. Barber and S. It was. decided that the matter be left in the hands of the chairman and Mr Hollands to report.

The Post and Telegraph Department wrote commending the use of Charity Stamps by the Board.' v

It was decided to purchase one sheet of Charity Stamps. ~ ■

Accounts amounting io £15071/7/10 were passed for payment. ■ ,

It was reported that the Audit Office had been infdrmed that Mr H. E. Lodge, had resigned his office, that an engineer-general manager had "been appointed and alscrthat an accountant had been appointed to take over the whole of the accountancy work. Overdue accounts were being collected. .
