COLLINS—MONKS.
A recent evening wedding at lit. Augustine's Church, Petone, was that of Nellie, second, daughter of Mrs S. A. Collin, Petone, and Eric, only arm of Mr and Mrs C. Monks, Waiwetu Road, Lower Hutt. The ceremony was performed by the Eevs. F. S. itan^ som and Miss Hpbbs presided at the organ. ' The bride, w&o was escorted by her brother, wore a dainty fTock of white lace with tight fitting (bodice i>r.a long flared skirt, with uneven hemline, finished with two frills and slightly trimmed .with" flat pale pink flowers, The embroidered tulle veil was worn witih. a coronet, of pearls and orange blossom, posies, and she carried a bouquet of white roses, spiraea and maidenhair fern The sisters of the bride attended as bridesmaids both wearing stylish frocks of blue and apricot geo^ gette over apricot crepe-dechene slips?, and-lace straw hats to tone. Their bouquets were of pale blue pansies, apricot roses and maidenhair fern. Tl>e Messrs J. McLaughlan and A. Collins were best "man .and groomsman respectively. On leaving/the chufc|a the bride was" presented with two horseshoes by her little cousins," Joan >ucl Betty Collins, of Wellington. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Petone Rowing Club Pavilion, wheje an enjoyable evening was spent, about 160 guests being* present. ... ■,
Mrs S. Collins and Mrs C. Monks received the guests, the former wearing a smart frock of black georgette and lace, with black hat and a bouquet of red roses, bTohze pansies and maidenhair fern; the latter a pretty light brown maTiette frock with blue trimmings and hat to tone' and a bouquet of blue delphiniums, pansies, roses r-pd fern. ~ -
