Nominations for the election of five members to the Hutt River Board closed on January 2nd with the secretary of the. Board, Mr A. J. Gearing. "

Sheil, and W. H. Smith. The nomination of Mr E. Hogg was also received; but was informal on ac-'j count of Mr Hogg- not being a rate-, payer. . . ■ j The., present members on the Board who are seeking re-election ..are F.- S. Hewer, "W. H.
