As the result of Saturday's matches, Hutt are leading in the Senior competition, all other teams having been defeated/ Close finishes appear to be the order this season. University defeated Old Boys by three runs and lost to Hutt by one.run. Midland defeated IJetone by two runs. ■, . _ University have a great fielding side. Skipper MeLeod sets Ms men-a. very high standard in this department. The fielding of the Jocal side in the last jnatek *as an improvement on that shown in the previous game.
