At the Lower Hutt Borough Council meeting last Tuesday evening, the Mayor (Sir. Alex. Roberts), referred to the honouT that had been conferred upon ttie Hon. T, M. Wilford by his appo'.atment as a King Js Counsel.. He moved that the Council tender to Hon. Ivfr. Wilford its congratuiaions and good wishes. MThe motion was carried by a.cclaination.
The Hutt Valley High .SctioolJunioJ Dramtic Club, in conjunction with the School's Glee Club .. and the Cld Pupils' Dramatic Club, has arranged to give an entertainment in St. ■ Jattii*.*'s Hall to-nigi.t (Thursday). The Parents' Committee of the Ist Scout Troop is prepaxing ,to close its social season on November 16*h. Arrangements are being made for a Children's Fancy Dress Dance in the afternoon. The evening progra.ajie for adults ; promises to be , -exceptionally jolly for both caTd and dancing enthusiasts.
