SENIOR B v. PETO3STE,
After a very rough and uninteresting j .game Hutt defeated Petone by 5* io 2. The first score came fsom the stick of P. Juld who scored a "nice snappy goal. Later another one came from the same stick, but at Jialf time the score stood at two all. In the second half T. Matthews scored twice and C. Bell once, making the final score 5 to 2, The halve* and backs were by no means np to their usual standard, some very bad mishitting taking place at times. The halves were very slow and seemed tyred out. Energy and force weTe lacking on the part of all the backs. Owing to the official referee failing to appear, Mr. Warrington of tie Petone Citfb carried the whistle. • " ■ SENIOR A. v. V.M.C.A. Neither team could score during the j first spell. After the. interval Y.M. at-, tacked sirongily. Ttis' seemed .to out Hutt on their, mettle, and it was rot' long before A. Judd opened Hutt's' scoring account with a good ."hot. Within a few: minutes A. Smith and ~\l. Hoaro scored making the final score Hutt 3, V.M.C.A. 0. Mr. C. Harvey controlled the game. OTHER GRADES. Junior B lest to Petone by 2 goals to ].
