Charles H. Hewinson, for speeding, was fined 10s.
Failure to carry out an order of the Borough Council to divert drainage cost J. J. Fleet 10s.
Judgment for plaintiffs by default was given in the following • undefended civil cases: W. Austin v. W. R. Clouston, £4 16s 3d; Hutt Rubber Supplies V. "W. Moore, costs only, 12s; E. W. Mad- v dams v. G. Johnson, -$2 8s 6d; C. F."Or-. gan v. Brian D. Nicholson, £14 2s 6d; F. Mulders V. B. Mathews, £9 9s 7d.
