PLUNKET SOCIETY.
Mrs G. A. Chapman presided at t-he monthly meeting of the Plunket Society when the following ladies were present: —Mesdames Yon Zeillitz, W. H. Earnshaw, E. W. Hunt, S. Hoggard, "F. N. Gibson,G. Bennett, C. B. Buxton, A. F. Tosswill, J. MeCaw, E. L. Marchait. Apologies were received from Mesdames F. K. Meadow 3, W. Bock, J. H. Fairbairn and J. Whitton.
The Plunket nurse's monthly report was accepted as very satisfactory, there being a marked increase in the attendance at the Pre-Natal Clinic.
Nurse Flower. was granted one month's leave of absence owing to illness and Jfivrse Watt was appointed to fill the vacancy.
A .lettier was received from the Moera Sports and Community Batepayers ' League • intimating that they would'be pleased to receive a deputation'from the Society to discuss Plunket matter? in that district.
A" very hearty vote of thanks was accorded the manager of the Ideal Bag Washrfor undertaking to. do the, Plunket launder at a fixed sum, ■
. Tihe matter of the house_'to iiouse canvas for donations and subscriptions was cousidoix'-l and it was agreed to procee-7. with the v.-ork immediately.
As the S.oe;ct; is very short of funds it is hoped that the personal eanvag will result in a good response.
