It was the%deeided that the same sub-committee iphaß. sulbmit the same to the Registrar of Incorporated Societies for his approval, after which they will be submitted to a general meeting of members for adoption. The President "stated that Mr A. Wilkinson had recently re-visited the district and that himself, Mr. Helyar and the Director had had a very satisfactory interview with him and cleared up a number of matters that were in doubt. Mr Wilkinson was travelling through the Island and working very hard in the interests of the Society. •

The Director, *"M.v Attwood' reported that the work of forming the Rock Garden was progressing quite satisfactorily, at the same time he hoped people would not expect too much for t\\e first year as there was a tremendous amount of work" to be done. He was very grateful for the valuable assistance supplied by the Borough Council. The ground had been cleared of the rough growth and a supply of rocks would soon be placed on the ground. Mr. Attwood hoped some part of the rockeries etc w6uld be built in time for the open air flower show to be held in February. For-this purpose members were asked to assist with labour whenever possible. There are a large number of members in sight and it would assist the society's finance if those who had already.joined would forward their subscriptions to the Director.

Mr. W. R. Robson was appointed lion,

treasurer.
