H.V. ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
The monthly meeting of the Hutt Valley Electric Power Board was held on Thursday. There .were present:-— Mr. W. H. P. Barber (chairman), Messrs A. J. MeCurdy, A. Anderson, S. Blaekley, A. j. Hobbs, H. W. Lawrence, E. Windley, L. Stewart, " Hx Walker and J. W.v McEwan. -
The Lower Hutt Borough Council wrote returning accounts for the removal by <the Board of two poles, one in Laing 's Eoad; and one in Heke >Sti*eet. The" removal of the Laing's I^oad pole.' was necessitated by street widening at that point. The pole in Heke Street^ was put in by the Board in the Nwrong alignirkbnt and had to be set/ back one. f oot^during street ,widening. The Council epnsideredvthat in neither ease was the account chargeable to the' .borough:. The letter was ''received," leaving the matter yet to be settled^; .
