The Ladies Guild of Taita Church held a bazaar recently in the Public Hall. The function was opened by Mr. W. Field, M.P., and a handsome bouquet was presented by the president for Mrs. Field who was unable to be present. The stalls which were handsomely decorated by the members and friends, were well stocked and well patronized; as also were the tea rooms, fruit salad and ice-cream stalls. There were numerous side shows including a Fairyland with bran tubs for the children; also a fish pond. Great praise was given to Rev. R. Dudley for his successful management and to the ladies of the Guild for their untiring energy. The Church building fund will benefit considerably by their efforts.

Keen interest is being taken in this year's Shopping Week to be held from Bth to 16th November. Strong committees have been set up and arrangements are being made to provide the public with a most interesting and educative week. A booklet is being prepared containing useful reading aad a number of competitions.
