Miss Knight-has filled the position of cashier to €he Petone and Lower Hutt Gas Lighting Board since tha Board's inception. On behalf of her numerous friends: on the Gas Board and Borough Council staffs Mr H: Appleyard1 the manager of the Gas works presented Miss Knight, with a dining room clock. Mr Appleyard also handed over to Miss Knight a copper bowl from,the members of the: Huttone Football Club.
