LOWER HUTT MEN\S CLUB.
The .fifth round o.f the A. Grade. Inter-club Competition was completed last Thursday, when .the Hutt anil .Aotoa met on the lattex's xangc in the V.M.C.A. This match was expected to .be a very interesting one as .both teams .had been shooting consistently throughout the season, and nobody was disappointed as it was a close finish, Hutt eventually winning by foiii points. At the beginning of the season the club entered a team for the Osmond Shield in which ten teams competed, the Hutt winning by ten points from Aotea. This is the second time the club has won thitT shield.
At the Wellington Championship meeting held on the 4th inst., the club did remarkably well. P. B. Goldfinch won the Championship with F. W. Ching, L. Hare and F. Ivershaw tieing | for second place. In the shoot off F. I Ching was first, L. Hare second and F. Kershaw third; thus placing the four Hutt men at the top of the list. D. Haden won the B Grade aggregate with C. Lambert and T. Warburton tieiiig for second place. T. Warburton won the shoot off. An A and B team were entered for the Teams Match which was won by the A team with the B team second. LADIES' CLXTB. The third shoot for the Championship and Trophies was fired on Tuesday, 19th inst. Following were the j best scores: — : ' .
