SENIOR GRADE. In an exciting game from start to finish, Hutt Senior A defeated Swifts, the leaders in the championship, by 2 goals to one, placing them equal. Play was fast and furious. In the first spell Swifts' dashing attacks, causing concern, Hutt retaliated with plenty of vim, and although, shots at each goal went somewhat near no score was registered at half-time. The second spell was greatly to Hutt's advantage, attacking strongly most of the spell. About half way through Miss Mclntyre, Swifts' flying centre forward, broke away, beating each player in turn, drew the Hutt goalie and scored. It looked a certainty tkat Swifts had secured the Championship, but Hutt continuing the pressure, in a confused attack in the circle, Miss O*Donnell lifted it through at the third attempt. Ten minutes before time Hutt's heevy attacks were rewarded by Mrs Sundgren sending in a sharp shot. Play was now fast and interesting, Hutt hdlding the advantage to the and.
