POST OFFICE AT MOERA
At the last meeting of the Lower Hutt Borough Councii, the Mayor stated that he had received a letter from the Postmaster General advising the Council that a Post Office is to be erected at the corner of Randwick Road and Randwick Crescent, and suggesting that the name "Moera" be deleted and the office be known as the Randwiek Post Office.
The Mayor stated that he was very pleased that a Post Office was to be opened as it was greatly needed. He was not in favour of changing the name to " Randwick" and suggested that a deputation wait on the Postmaster General to see if it cannot be called Moera.
Cr. Roberts moved that the Mayor and Town Clerk be appointed to interview the Postmaster General with the idea of calling it the Mnera Post Office. Cr. Mitchell seconded. —Curried.
