Municipal Band.

The holidays (always a busy season for our band) being over, members are settling down to regular practice again. Practice was held this week in the new bandroom (near Scouts' Hall) for the first time. When completed this building should prove a fine home for the band. There is ample room and good lighting. The Balclutha Boys' Brass Band (Conductor: A. Wood, Esq.) will be

visiting Wellington on January 19th and 24th inclusive, and will be the guests of the Hutt Valley bands on Anniversary Day, when the band will render a musical programme on the Petone Esplanade. Lower Hutt residents are invited to hear this band— "as a boys' band they will surprise you."

The Hutt Band will play in the Main Street this Friday evening, 7.45
