Hutt Valley Lawn Tennis Association. The third series of inter-club matches of the Hutt Valley Lawn Tennis Association were played on Saturday last, in good tennis weather. The results were as follows:— SENIOR. Western Hutt defeated Taita, 9—7. Pononga drew with St. Augustine's, B—B. . Eastern Hutt defeated Knox, 10—6. Methodist defeated St. David's, 13—3. JUNIOR. Methodist A defeated Eastern Hutt, 10—6. St; David's defeated Pononga B, 11—5. Western Hutt A defeated Pononga A, 9—4. Western Hutt B defeated Knox, 9—7. Methodist B defeated St. Augustine's, 12—3. The defeat of the Taita senior team by Western Hutt was a great surprise, the standard of tennis in this match being quite up to Wellington junior standard, .
