Dental Clinic.
The usual monthly meeting of the Hutt Dental Clinic Committee was held on Monday, 7th November. Mr. Dyer presided over a full attendance of delegates. The secretary reported that as a result of the Benefit Concert held on the 17th October, the funds would benefit to the extent of nearly £20. It was resolved that the sum of £5 be donated to the fund of the Petone Benefit Entertainers, and that they be forwarded a letter of thanks for their assistance. A vote of thanks was accorded Mr. Webster for his assistance in carting the company's property from Petone. The chairman and secretary were appointed to meet the members of the Waiwetu School Committee and discuss the position as to dental treatment for the scholars, with a view to securing their assistance on the committee. The report of the nurse for the month showed that the number of operations were 483. It was hoped to be in a position to visit the Waiwetu School by the end of the month. All schools had been again visited and new arrivals charted, but parents were very slow in returning the consent forms to the headmasters. Until these forms were signed and returned no child could receive treatment.
